First Alert Forecast: Lighter winds and dry weather are expected the rest of this week

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Trade winds will continue to decrease in speed over the next several days, leading to minimal rainfall. A few windward showers are possible over the eastern half of the state, but an overall drier trend is expected heading into the weekend.
No major shake-ups in the forecast are expected over the next seven days. Lighter winds are expected this weekend. Dry air will also make for comfortable weather. High temperatures will settle in the mid-80s. Low temperatures will continue to slowly drop as we move further into fall and the wet season. Some low temperatures tonight could fall into the high 60s.
No significant swells are expected over the next several days. A small pulse on north and west-facing shores is expected Wednesday night into Thursday. Surf should remain below high surf advisory criteria for the foreseeable future.
